Waiver of Liability *

The Participant hereby recognizes that there are inherent risks involved with participation in this program and agrees to release and hold harmless the Sleepy Hollow Mermaid Festival, Sleepy Hollow Project LLC (Includes all owners, event producers, volunteers), partners including Rivertowns SUP & Yoga, (owner/director, instructors, coaches, and volunteers), Riverkeeper (all officers, agents, employees and volunteers) and the Village of Sleepy Hollow (includes the Village of Sleepy Hollow, its officers, agents, employees, and volunteers), and sponsors of the Sleepy Hollow Mermaid Festival, of any liability whatsoever in connection with any damages and/or injuries sustained as a result of participation. The Participant attests to the fact that he/she is physically able to participate and has not been advised otherwise by qualified medical personnel. The Participant attests that they are over the age of 16. All minors under the age of 16 must have permission to participate by a parent or legal guardian and march with a supervising adult. The Participant further acknowledges that participation in this event requires physical activity in a natural environment and carries with it the potential of other damage, including, but not limited to those caused by terrain, temperature, weather, condition of participants, lack of hydration, and actions of others in this activity. Participant consents to have photos and/or videos taken by the Mermaid Festival representatives (includes directors, volunteers, and hired photographers) for social media, marketing materials, and website design. As well as future commercial use across all platforms in perpetuity.
